Mohamed Aden Hassan is the director of Rako Research and Communication Centre as well as a Global Research Fellow at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) and an editing member of Bildhaan journal. Mohamed has over 12 years of experience in research, media and business. He holds an MA in Diaspora and Migration Studies and a PhD in Sociology from the University of London. Furthermore, Mohamed is a community activist and an entrepreneur.

Ahmed M. Musa is a postdoctoral researcher in the Diaspora Humanitarianism in Complex Crises research project run by the Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS), University of Nairobi’s Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Rako Research and Communication Centre (RCCC) and the Rift Valley Institute (RVI) and funded by the Danish Government. Ahmed is attached to RCCC and his research is focusing on the ‘history and institutions’ of Somali Diaspora Humanitarianism.
